Privacy policy

This policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit denkraumai.com and when you send an enquiry about DENKRAUM AI. DENKRAUM AI is a product of a. scheller edv-beratung.

2. Hosting and technical provision

The website runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) in its Nuremberg data centre. Data is not processed in third countries.

When a page is accessed, the server receives technically necessary connection data, in particular the IP address, the address requested, the time and details of the browser used. The upstream proxy keeps no access logs, and our server application does not store IP addresses. Its program logs contain no form contents and are overwritten as they reach their size limit. Any server backups at Hetzner are overwritten after seven days at the latest.

The website is available in German and English. When you open the home page, the language set in your browser determines which version you see; for this, the server or the page in your browser evaluates this setting. It is not stored for this purpose.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the website reliably, securely and in your language.

3. Cookies, statistics and embedded content

This website does not set any analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and does not embed content or services from third parties. Videos and images are delivered from our server; fonts are chosen from the system fonts available on your device. Only the contact form uses a technically necessary cookie (see section 4).

To see which content and campaigns are helpful, our server application counts without cookies: page views per day and page, the domain of the referring website (for example linkedin.com), campaign details from the link you opened (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), which sections of the page are reached and which elements are opened (for example tabs, use cases, questions, enlarged views, package buttons and links to YouTube), video starts and how far videos are watched, and the number of enquiries per selected interest, area and company size. Only these totals are stored – no IP addresses, no identifiers and no usage profiles. Visits by search engines and other programs are not counted. A page view only counts once your browser also loads the page’s design (the stylesheet); until then, the server keeps the view in memory for at most two minutes – under a check value formed from the IP address, the browser identification and a random key, not under the IP address itself. Nothing is stored on or read from your device for this purpose. The figures are deleted after 400 days.

In addition, the server counts how many different visitors come each day – broken down by country, device type, browser, operating system, language setting, entry page, referring website and time of day. It determines the country from your IP address when you open a page, using a country table on our server (data from DB-IP); nothing is transmitted to third parties for this. So that several page views on the same day count only once, it forms a check value from your IP address, your browser identification and a random key that changes daily. The check value and the key are kept only in the server’s memory and are discarded when the day changes at the latest; the IP address is not stored. Only daily totals per characteristic are stored (for example “12 visitors from Germany” or “5 with a smartphone”), not which characteristics belong to the same visitor. These figures are also deleted after 400 days.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is improving our offering.

4. Contact form

When you send the contact form, we process the details you enter: name, email address and the selected interest and, if you fill in these voluntary fields, your company, your phone number, the areas DENKRAUM AI should help with, the size of your company and your message; in addition, the language of the page the enquiry comes from. Transmission is encrypted. Our server application checks the enquiry and hands it over to the enquiry inbox of a. scheller edv-beratung at scheller-edv.de, which runs on the server named in section 2. It is stored there together with the version of this privacy policy. denkraumai.com itself does not store your enquiry, and no emails are sent automatically.

We use your details exclusively to answer your enquiry – by email or, if you provide a phone number, also by phone. Your data is not passed on to third parties, you are not signed up to a newsletter and the data is not used for advertising.

To protect against abusive and automated submissions, the form sets a technically necessary cookie containing a random form key when you send it. It is valid for 60 minutes at most and is not used to recognise you. In addition, the number of enquiries per sender is limited. For this purpose, your IP address is processed only as a pseudonymised check value in the server’s memory and discarded after 16 minutes at the latest; it is not stored together with your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry is aimed at a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in processing your enquiry and protecting the form against misuse. Storing the form cookie on your device is strictly necessary under Section 25(2) no. 2 of the German TDDDG in order to provide the form you are using.

Enquiries are deleted from the inbox automatically after 180 days. We delete emails about your enquiry as soon as they are no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations apply, for example if your enquiry leads to an order.

5. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your contact details and the content of your enquiry in order to handle your request. Emails reach us through our mailbox info@scheller-edv.de, which is operated by Zoho (Zoho Corporation B.V., Netherlands) in data centres in the EU; our replies to your enquiry are sent from there as well. If the form cannot send an enquiry directly, it prepares an email in your own email program instead; nothing is sent until you send it there.

For pre-contractual or contractual enquiries, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR is the basis; our legitimate interest is handling your message. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose, unless statutory retention obligations or other legal reasons prevent this.

6. Links to other websites

Links to scheller-edv.de, for example to the legal notice, lead to an independent website. That website is only accessed when you open such a link. Its own privacy policy applies there.

Likewise, links to our YouTube channel lead to YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). No YouTube videos are embedded on this website; YouTube is only accessed when you open such a link. Google’s privacy policy applies there.

7. Your rights

Within the scope of the statutory requirements, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it with effect for the future.

Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object on grounds relating to your particular situation.

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For private companies in Bavaria, the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision is the competent authority. To exercise your rights, you can reach us at info@scheller-edv.de.
